Adelmise Warner, a St. Teresa School parent, recently asked us if we would host a fundraiser to benefit Haiti earthquake victims.  We agreed, and immediately started fielding offers of donations from cafe regulars to pig farmers.  We’ve been moved by the outpouring & the event hasn’t even happened yet!   That is to say, we’ve got some excellent prizes lined up for the silent auction, and some smaller, but also excellent prizes lined up for the raffle including:

A Weekend at Stinson Beach
Value of $1,200.  Includes two night rental  of 163 Seadrift Road & cleaning fees.
Weekend dates will be mutually agreed upon with home owner during Spring and Fall of 2010.

Dinner for 2 at the Oliveto Dining Bar
Chef Paul Canales will feed you & Wine Director Chris Ryerson will pour the wines.

Dinner for 4 at Perbacco

Three night stay in Kauai
4 bedroom house, one mile from new St. Regis resort

An original Raymond Saunders painting

along with numerous dinners, spa packages, special wines, and lots of other good stuff.

Guest auctioneer will be Don Perata, and Jean Quan will also be on hand to help with the silent auction.  There will be an ongoing slide show, Haitian music, and great food, some of it donated by one of our farmers.  Mark Pasternak, of Devil’s Gulch Ranch, was in Haiti at the time of the earthquake on a humanitarian agricultural mission.  [Watch video]  He’s given part of one of his very fine, large hogs and Chef Canales will be making polpettoni.    Please join us!
