This Sunday’s Farmhouse Supper: Umbria
July 8, 2012
We’re first to admit we slacked off a bit there with our Sunday Farmhouse dinners, but we’re back on track for this weekend with an Umbrian Sunday Supper.
With its hilly if not mountainous terrain, Umbria was once known to be a tobacco growing region, but has always been know for its hunting and game. This Sunday’s menu will center around Hoffman Farm hen used for a hunter’s stew along with lentils, a staple from the Valnerina area. Seasonal contorni as well as pasta will also be included. And Jenny will come up with some magnificent dessert.
Prix fixe $40.
Served family-style. For groups of one to twelve. Whole table must order prix fixe menu. A regional wine will accompany the meal at $40/per bottle.
